Marketing Manager – AATP


AA Traveller is our tourism business unit for the AA. We are passionate about providing AA members with products and member benefits for their travel needs around New Zealand. Our goal of being Number One means we will be New Zealand's leading provider of domestic tourism information and the first port of call for Members.

This role will see you grow our AA Traveller Brand through your effective relationship building skills will see you leverage all AA marketing channels to boost product utilisation and revenue by delivering insightful & timely marketing initiatives. You will be proactive and look at opportunities to boost the AA Traveller brand and heighten the awareness and use of our domestic products, services and publications.

Reporting to the General Manager - AA Tourism Publishing, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Marketing strategy and planning

  • Working with key business partners to leverage marketing opportunities and enhance the AA Traveller proposition

  • Enhancing understanding of Member needs and perceptions

  • Monitoring and analysing competitor activity, industry and market trends

  • Writing marketing and promotional briefs

  • Running marketing campaigns via EDM's and digital

  • Leveraging social media channels

  • Create effective marketing plans that provide support of new products and services.

Your smart and savvy approach in business will underline your success to date within a multi stakeholder environment and your relationship and people skills will be highly regarded. It is likely you have had exposure to the complete marketing mix, incorporating both product and service initiatives, including direct marketing and social media.

Travel and Tourism related marketing experience would be advantageous but not essential.
