Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Asbestos Consultant to join our Environmental team in Auckland. This role is ideal for a Senior Environment Consultant who has a solid background in Asbestos surveying, experience in providing practical solutions in the consulting industry, and is looking for the next step in their career. This is a unique opportunity to work for a global organisation with a wide range of projects in a dynamic and busy practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting surveys on hazardous materials including asbestos

  • Manage projects and budgets to meet client needs

  • Engage with clients daily

  • Taking relevant samples as required in coordination with laboratories

  • Analyse results and assist the preparation of relevant reports

  • Investigate, analyse and prepare asbestos and other hazardous materials survey reports

  • Contribute to growing the NZ and Australia business

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-8 years relevant experience in hazardous materials testing

  • Ability to work independently while delivering on projects

  • Strong report writing ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary science or engineering qualification is preferred
