Job Summary

The Opportunity

Due to an internal move, we have a senior opportunity for a Manager of Transmission & Distribution to join AECOM in Wellington.

As a Manager of Transmission & Distribution, your primary focus will be to lead the Wellington Power Business. The role reports to the Group Director of Power & Industrial NZ.

In this role, you will be part of the Wellington office Leadership Team, contributing to office wide decision making and influencing local outcomes across all business lines.

You will be responsible for workload coordination and resource scheduling for the delivery of high-profile, complex projects. You will assist in business development activities in respect of building client relationships, scanning for opportunities, keeping abreast of local markets and disciplines, development of capture plans and preparation of high-quality bids.

Naturally, as the Manager of Transmission & Distribution, looking after the welfare of the team and maintaining a supportive environment, where high performing and engaged people work collaboratively to deliver great client results is crucial.

Minimum Requirements

About You

We are looking for a high performing, engaging leader, who is motivated and driven and enjoys sharing ideas to work collaboratively with clients and team members, to create and deliver successful results.

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, ideally in a consulting environment

  • Ability to deliver excellent service to clients in all aspects of a project life cycle

  • Proven leadership capability supporting engaged teams

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and risk management experience

  • High-level problem-solving skills and judgment capability

  • Strong, effective communicator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer status will be a distinct advantage
