The Role

AECOM has an opportunity for an engaging and highly motivated Senior Safety, Health, Environment & Wellbeing (SHE&W) Advisor to join our business.

Based in our Auckland office, this role will see you supporting the ANZ SHE&W Director, driving compliance and continuous improvement, ensuring a strong culture of SHE&W excellence is upheld.

As an active member of our SHE&W Team, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of health and safety programmes and initiatives, supporting ANZ SHE&W strategies throughout the NZ business.

This is a hands-on role, which will see you participating in office and field-based work, with travel as required.

Minimum Requirements

About You

This role is ideal for a safety professional with 4-7 years’ professional SHE&W experience who is looking for an opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge, working in a global organisation with industry specialists.

  • Sound understanding of and experience in implementing SH&E+Q risk management principles

  • Experience working in a consulting environment

  • Critical thinker

  • Excellent time management and organisation skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel user

  • Other health and safety training will be highly regarded (incident investigation, health and safety auditing, return to work coordination etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum diploma level in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
