About The Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in the development and funding of Infrastructure in New Zealand
  • Support the Executive Director along with originating, structuring, executing, and transaction management of Project Finance transactions in NZ
  • Develop strategies for the L&SF business to ensure that sustainable growth is delivered
  • Assist with developing market presence and collaborative relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders, advisors and investors
  • Support the ‘Centre of Excellence’ proposition ensuring all transactions are executed to a level that enhances ANZ’s reputation and acts as a market differentiator
  • Enhance customer satisfaction to deliver future value through superior transaction leadership, and execution excellence
  • Provide training, mentoring, and coach Manager and Analyst level team members along with training and presentations to Network Relationship teams
  • Assist in the growth of deal underwriting and distribution to achieve comparative advantage and differentiation within the market place

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

  • Proven excel skills along with strong analytical ability and financial modelling capability
  • Experience in interpreting & negotiating Facility Agreements, security documentation and commercial agreements
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders with often conflicting needs (internal and external)
  • Knowledge of the banks systems and procedures/credit policies would be advantageous, including specific knowledge of the Banks Institutional & Commercial Business, lending products and securities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable interaction with Customers, Solicitors, Advisors, Senior Management, Relationship Management and Risk Executives
  • Strong influencing and networking skills along with a proactive and positive approach to problem solving and process improvement
  • A background in Corporate/Commercial/Institutional banking  experience would be ideal, bringing a sound knowledge of the business environment and the challenges faced by customers
