About The Role

The mission of the Everyday Banking Tribe is to create surprisingly easy ways to join and bank with ANZ, helping our customers get on top of their money with proactive support along the way. To complement our existing team, we are looking for an experienced automation tester to join one of our established cross functional agile squads within the tribe to deliver solutions that incrementally deliver value to customers on a weekly basis.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to;

  • Showcase your thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non‐functional testing
  • Contribute to or lead the testing effort for a cross functional scrum team and championing quality
  • Work cross functionally as required, including mentoring others
  • Manage manual testing processes for applications with low levels of automated coverage and work effectively to raise levels of test automation
  • Demonstrate your strong written and verbal communication skills and to understand and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Be open to working across many platforms including Internet Banking, goMoney (native mobile app) or our Micro Services platform
  • Utilise your experience in testing web applications and/or mobile applications

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience with a variety of tools that support test automation (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, Jenkins Pipeline etc)
  • Proficiency in coding with at least one programming language (e.g. Java, JS, Groovy etc.)
  • API Testing Experience (RestAssured, Postman)
  • Experience using source control tools Git and Bitbucket
  • Knowledge and experience in SQL scripting  
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing (especially Exploratory testing)
  • Working knowledge in DevOps practices & continuous integration & delivery
    An agile and open mindset, able to consider new ideas and approaches to complex situations
  • Experience working in an agile environment (ideally Scrum)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-managing and a self-starter

The following experience is advantageous;

  • Previous experience in Banking Domain
  • Experience in Monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk)
  • Experience of working with Microservices
