About The Role

As a Corporate Lawyer you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Work with commercial managers to negotiate new supplier contracts.
  • Opportunity to deal with new financial sector regulatory obligations.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and review supply contracts for ANZ New Zealand, ensuring that legal risks are identified and that ANZ policies are followed. 
  • Support customer business unit goals and strategies while protecting ANZ.   
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within Procurement and business stakeholders.
  • Assist category and supplier managers in the preparation and evaluation of tenders.
  • Advise on the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, and precedents.

 

Role Location: Wellington preferred but will consider candidates from other cities

Role Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months (February 2020 to February 2021)

Working Hours: Business hours (flexibility available)

 
 
About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

 

  • Approximately 5 years of relevant legal experience with sound practical experience of contract law.
  • A law degree and the ability to hold a New Zealand Law Society practicing certificate.
  • Time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to operate in a multi-deadline environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide simple, concise advice.
