Data Design & Planning Manager

About The Role
As the Data Design and Planning Manager, you would have the opportunity to: 

  • Develop & co-ordinate the annual Data priorities across ANZ NZ with regular forums to ensure our strategy and roadmap is being delivered
  • Liaise with the wider ANZ Group for shared plans and initiatives as well as the wider business unit strategy planning, including scorecard & market analysis & commentary, as well as commercial interpretation & application of analytical data
  • Ensure forward planning is in line with the wider ANZ NZ strategy plans and emerging industry trends
  • Proactively identify emerging and future data and business development opportunities including gaps of internal performance data to drive customer growth & financial metrics
  • Work with Data leadership teams across the bank plus other internal and external stakeholders
  • Become a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders providing compelling data solutions and advice that is aligned to the current and emerging needs of the business
  • Lead the regular planning process which is underpinned by the overall business strategy to ensure ‘joined up’ customer approach & schedule initiatives, including delivery optimisation and execution of strategic Data programmes
  • Work across the various business units to ensure the delivery of our Data Roadmap/Blueprint is on track
  • Collaborate with the wider Data teams to increase connectivity and influence decision making

About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Business or relevant field
  • Previous experience in Data Assurance, Data Analytics, Data Strategy or Data Delivery related work
  • Strong problem solving & numerical skills, including strong ability to interpret customer insights into initiatives      
  • Strong people & supplier management skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple internal & external stakeholders across a spectrum of seniority in a faced paced environment
  • Understanding of retail banking environment
  • Demonstrated ability to align internal resources responsibly & effectively, including impacts analysis, to deliver planned initiatives including feedback
