Data Risk Manager


  • Collaborate with business units to help them transform and enhance their risk management activities using data analytics and new technology
  • Develop data driven insights and reports that enhance the Compliance and Operational Risk environment
  • Support business decision making and strategic risk mitigation

 
About The Role
 

In this role, you would have the opportunity to: 

  • Work with risk teams to revisit the way they identify, assess and manage key risks by first articulating the customer end-to-end value chain of each service proposition to customers
  • Develop data driven insights and reports that can be used by the business to articulate risks in a holistic manner that aids risk insights and business decision making
  • Assist broader Risk and Governance team (Compliance, Operational Risk and Assurance) with transformation and insights initiatives
  • Review and challenge data analytics and reporting to ensure the right information is driving decisions
  • Use data analytics to identify material trends, risk and issues, make recommendations and escalate to appropriate stakeholders to be resolved
  • Work with business units and wider Governance team to identify opportunities to use data to improve and automate the control environments
  • Develop and maintain processes for use of data within Governance (e.g. prioritisation, development of reports)
  • Collaborate with wider Governance team and key stakeholders, establishing yourself as a risk expert both internally and externally
  • Champion change to assist the transformation of ANZ to become a digital and data driven bank
  • Support innovation while ensuring risks are appropriately understood and managed

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

  • Ability to research and analyse information using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to reach sound conclusions and well thought out recommendations 
  • Experience using data visualisation or reporting tools
  • Experience developing dashboards in Tableau/Qlickview
  • Solid technical capability in SAS and SSIS based Business Intelligence solutions and enterprise level data warehousing platforms (i.e MS SQL/ Oracle/ Teradata)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills    
  • Concern for quality and standards
  • An ability to analyse large data sets using a range of tools and methods
  • Experience studying or working in a quantitative discipline (eg mathematics, statistics)
