DevOps Automation Lead

  • Focus on achieving efficiencies in automation and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve this change.
  • Host and facilitate communities of practice and information sessions.
  • Coaching teams from a technical and theoretical perspective.

About The Role:

  • Collaborate with other Technology units, providing guidance to key stakeholders and teams of practitioners.
  • Coach and facilitate automation learning's through various mediums, ensuring change occurs.
  • Work with teams to identify, manage and implement automated delivery and operations.
  • Assess maturity of operation teams and partner to achieve improvements.
  • Lead adoption of automation to enable teams and programmes to improve service delivery quality, free up capacity and help deliver value to customers faster.
  • Contribute to driving innovation and efficiencies within the Operational Tools and Services CoE and Technology more broadly.

About You:
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Experience as an IT Ops, with an excellent coding background.
  • Comfortable speaking the same language as developers.
  • Be someone who cannot stand doing repetitive manual work, or watching others do it.
  • A good understanding of industry leading automation and technology tooling capabilities as well as trends; you will see the possibility in how Automation can be deployed to improve delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and lead key stakeholders and technical teams.
  • An ability to increase adoption of automation through coaching and influencing.
  • Experienced in change management across operational teams.
  • A natural flair for communicating and influencing to drive collaboration.
  • Problem solving aptitude and desire for keeping the customer needs at the forefront.
