About The Role
As a Junior Automation Test Engineer, you will join ANZ’s Omni Assisted Channel to become part of an innovative, diverse, and collaborative team that is focused to enhance the functionality of banking systems to meet customer needs. 
 
You will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn and contribute to the test design for customer centric applications and work in a scrum team
  • Work in a build and run team where we are continually improving delivery processes to enhance stakeholder satisfaction
  • Assist in supporting a positive and supportive culture in Digital Banking
  • Learn test strategy to support all test phases including Unit, Systems, End to End, Integration, Regression and User Acceptance Testing where required
  • Manage test demand to ensure agreed delivery dates are adhered to by working with the Platform Leads
  • Proactively identify technical, process risks and issues throughout the testing process
  • Learn test development and execution when needed
  • Schedule test events and environments and other co-ordination activities

Role Location: Wellington
Role Type: Permanent
Hours: Standard business hours with plenty of flexibility

About You
You will join a team that excels in working in a highly collaborative, supportive and agile environment. As a Junior Test Engineer, you will be able to rapidly and effectively manage BAU test demands in process. You will be forward thinking and skilled at communicating; comfortable talking to both technologists and users alike.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience or interest in commercial software development and testing automation
  • An agile and open mindset – able to consider new ideas and approaches to situations
  • A self-managing individual that is proactive and curious.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of Java programming and OO design pattern
  • A good knowledge of Java ecosystem
  • Java RestAPI, UI automation would be appreciated
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and ceremonies is also helpful
