Payroll Specialist

  • End to end payroll opportunity with one of NZ’s largest organisations
  • Work with stakeholders locally and offshore (IRD, ANZ tax team, payroll operations)
  • Join the team and play an integral part in managing NZ pay finalisation

About The Role
In this role, you would have the opportunity to: 

  • Manage the data from ANZ’s fortnightly payroll and identifying exceptions – an investigative and solutions-focused role
  • Manage ANZ’s delivery of a timely and accurate payroll
  • Provide support and knowledge to our payroll processing operations
  • Oversee payroll standards and NZ governance activities to ensure ANZ’s payroll is fully compliant across policy and NZ legislation
  • Opportunity to participate in payroll impacting projects
  • Consistently drive & improve payroll governance processes within NZ
  • System testing for payroll legislation change processes

Role Location: Wellington
Role Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday with flexibility in hours possible 
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following: 

  • Proven end to end (process in, process out) payroll experience of at least two years
  • Your payroll experience must include payroll experience working for a medium to large company (minimum 500 to 1000+ payroll employees)
  • Your payroll experience will include responsibility for the accuracy of an organisation’s regular payroll
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of NZ Payroll legislation for example the Holidays Act
  • Strong attention to detail and data analytical ability
  • A demonstrated ability to challenge existing thinking and adapt processes as required
  • Relationship management skills
