Senior Manager, Portfolio Management & Reporting

About The Role
In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Analyse data trends in an industry sector, discuss these observations with business and credit colleagues and craft a piece of analysis for a risk committee paper
  • Use creative thinking to identify and source some external data, then clean it up, validate it and use it to generate insights
  • Collaborate with divisional teams and agree the best way to measure and monitor an identified risk
  • Create user friendly dashboards and automate regular reporting tasks
  • Meet with colleagues in other business and risk teams to brainstorm the way forward on a new portfolio review

Role Location: Flexible (New Zealand)
Grade: 4.2
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • A methodical approach to data management and validation, with strong attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of commercial business lending and/or economic drivers
  • An ability to use creative and forward thinking to identify risk factors and opportunities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Capability of performing data extraction/manipulation and analysis utilising data extracting tools and software e.g. SAS, VBA, SQL, R, Python
  • Your strong interpersonal, influencing sand negotiation skills
  • Succinct written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills
