About The Role

In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Provide enterprise wide tools and services to enable Technology Operations and Development Teams, to effectively maintain and deliver high quality Technology Services.
  • Hold accountability for undertaking the support and maintenance activities to enable monitoring and insights of the technology landscape.
  • Collaborate across all Technology to drive improvement in our ability to effectively utilise monitoring across Technology in NZ.
  • Contribute to drive innovation and efficiencies within the Operational Tools Services CoE and Technology more broadly.
  • Contribute to the development of best in class, leading monitoring systems and tooling capability.
  • Manage strategic monitoring tools which are available for consumption “as a service” by all domains.
  • Provide consulting services to projects to assess, define and implement fit for purpose and cost effective monitoring solution and toolsets.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Solid platform experience in Solaris, Linux (RHEL)
  • Experience with monitoring tooling, in particular, Systems Centre Operations Manager 2016 (SCOM) or BMC True Sight
  • Strong experience with Application Performance Monitoring Tools and Log Aggregation Services
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner and collaborate with various teams
  • The ability to problem solve, whilst keeping the customer needs at the forefront.

Ideal Skills & Experience:  

  • Experience with Splunk
  • An understanding of incident management ITIL
  • A background working in Agile Platform teams
