Senior Relationship Manager


  • Lead a team of Relationship Managers and Associates predominantly in the Commercial sector
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to grow team portfolio
  • Establish relationships with non bank customers, and develop long term customer connections to grow and promote the profile of our C&A team
  • Seek to understand the issues our customers face, to identify new business opportunities and offer insightful and creative solutions
  • Provide ongoing leadership, support and coaching to Relationship Managers, Relationship Associates, and the wider team
  • Work with Regional managers and Credit to ensure active management and planning implemented for at risk businesses 

Role Location: Whangarei based, servicing Northland

Role Type: Permanent

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong customer relationship management, networking and negotiating skills
  • The ability to manage complex, ambiguous and conflicting demands
  • Developed leadership abilities, with proven experience in achieving results through others
  • Credit or lending experience a must
  • A successful track record in effective coaching, to support your team achieving success
  • Proven experience providing direction, training, development, and performance management to team of talented individuals
  • Agri experience desired, but not required
  • Related tertiary qualification
