We’re looking for a motivated, collaborative and inspired Senior UX Strategist to join our experience design team.

We operate in a scaled agile development environment using human centred design to define and solve problems to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and our business.

You’ll work collaboratively with your business and technology teams, across multiple banking channels.  

 

In this role you will:

  • Help shape and conduct discovery and design process to better understand opportunities and challenges from multiple perspectives – e.g business, customer and technology
  • Translate abstract ideas and requirements into appropriate, tangible user experience artefacts to help teams align on activities and actions for delivery
  • Problem solve, troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
  • Work collaboratively and optimistically within a Tribe setting, with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Gather with an engaged multi-disciplinary team around customer journeys
  • Advocate for a coherent and consistent experience design across our digital channels
  • Help to build and shape the design community and culture at ANZ

Role Location: Wellington
Role Type:  Full Time, twelve month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: Standard business hours with flexible working options

You’re a highly collaborative design thinker who has had experience working in a large, multifaceted organisation. You know what it takes to work within a multi-disciplinary team and how important it is to plan, strategise and design together.

 

Through your experience, you can demonstrate that you have:

  • A thorough understanding of the many facets of design and design thinking
  • 5-8+ years of as a UX practitioner, either in a large corporation or within the financial sector
  • Proven impact applying design strategy methodologies to produce successful outcomes from discovery through to implementation
  • Experience with a range of existing and emerging experience design tools and techniques, including user research and usability testing
  • Experience facilitating workshops and alignment sessions
  • Been a natural at bringing people together to collaborate, connect dots and solve problems
  • Experience in working in an agile fast-paced environment
  • Great work ethic, proactive and positive mindset
  • Amazing communication skills; both written and verbal
