Technology Project Manager

About The Role
This position sits in our Switch platform, currently operating in 4 squads, of 40 people.
In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Help to deliver our roadmap across a range of specialist technology areas.
  • Be an agile lead and relentless in breaking down barriers and removing roadblocks that impact your team’s ability to deliver.
  • Use your skills and experience in an Agile environment to assist bringing this team into the new ways of working.  You will assist with this transformation into Agile.
  • Engage and develop stakeholder relationships to achieve the desired outcome, and persuade others when required.
  • Utilise your proven experience in agile delivery and project management and understand that the real meaning behind this, is the difference you and the solutions you work on will make to our customers and community. The customer experience will be at the heart of everything you do.

Role Location: Wellington CBD
Role Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Business hours with plenty of flexibility
 
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven experience of Project Management within areas utilising agile delivery methodologies. Alternatively, experience as a scrum master within a large, regulated and complex corporate environment.
  • Banking experience is preferred.
  • A proven track record of effectively managing project budget, schedule, quality, risks, reporting, and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing dependencies across teams, departments and with external parties.
  • Exceptional organisational and analytical abilities with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Well-developed relationship building skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders.
  • An enthusiastic, passionate and positive disposition. You like to bring others on the journey and you have the aptitude to remove roadblocks with vigour. 
  • Ability to retain a view of the big picture while paying attention to detail.
