About the Role


ANZ's Commercial and Agri team are seeking an experienced banker, with strong working capital knowledge to join their Transaction Banking team in Auckland.

In this role, you will be responsible for maximising business profitability for Payments & Cash Management, trade, domestic and International, for the Commercial & Agri segment in New Zealand. Through effective design & implementation of the Transaction Banking sales strategy, you will deliver project initiatives to Commercial & Agri clients within NZ, Australia and Asia. Solution focused with pipeline management, proposals and presentationsyou will also maintain a full understanding of all relevant pricing models and their drivers to effectively apply and find the best possible solutions for our customers and the bank. Operating within a defined territory you will identify new business opportunities from both new and existing customers, with the objective of growing the profitability of the portfolio.

Providing excellent customer service by identifying client needs, understanding issues customers face and providing individual solutions to add value, you will develop and build strong customer relationships and connections to enhance the bank's profile in the market place. Through networking and understanding our brand proposition, you will build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external providers to ensure that we deliver the best solutions to our clients. 

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:  

  • Proven ability to manage complexity/ambiguity and conflicting demands simultaneously
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working alone and in team environments
  • Strong customer relationship management, networking and negotiating skills previously demonstrated in winning new customers and closing transactions
  • Strong networking capability demonstrated with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ideally you will have a Tertiary qualification in a business discipline or relevant banking experience
