Unified Comms Platform Manager

About The Role

In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Support the Unified Communications Platforms through team members and vendor engagement
  • Create and lead efficient high performing technical teams and develop skilled technology resources
  • Lead the team members for design, build, implement and operate for Cisco IPTelephony, Cisco Room based VC and Pexip conferencing platforms
  • Assist with the integration of these platforms into clients on S4B, Microsoft Teams and other Unified Communications
  • work side-by-side collaboratively with other Technology Areas, providing guidance and support to key stakeholders and end users
  • Work with teams to identify, manage and implement automated delivery and operations
  • Drive innovation and efficiencies and automation through the Unified Communications Squad
  • Be accountable for the integrity and health of the platform and the delivery of platform features for our business tribes and on-going projects
  • Establish and strengthen working relationships with business representatives and other technical teams
  • Ensure your team has a model in place for continuous improvement and foster a culture of empowerment
  • Foster collaboration, trust and a supportive team environment through guidance, support and coaching

Role Location: Wellington or Auckland

Role Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: Standard Business hours with flexibility to cover after hours support and platform enhancements

 
About You

As a Unified Comms Manager, you will bring a mix of experiences, thinking and styles, including;

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner and collaborate with Technology Teams
  • Ability to manage a team that is a combination of employees and vendor sourced experts
  • Experience in vendor engagement including solutions assessments, ratification and validation of capabilities
  • Experience as a senior manager in an enterprise environment and responsible for more than 3,000 customers (internal and/or external)
  • Being a skilled team leader, with previous people management and leadership experience.
  • Extensive practical experience in IP Telephony, Video Conferencing, Virtual Meeting rooms, Knowledge of Contact Centre connectivity
  • Cisco (or alternative) certification in engineering/ telephony or similar
  • Expertise and experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies and sound change management practises
  • Ability to increase adoption of automation throughout the Unified Communications Platforms
  • A good understanding of industry leading Unified Communications technologies and trends; the “art of the possible” in how these can be deployed to improve both delivery and operational effectiveness
  • A background in achieving exceptional outcomes and delivering to the strategic direction of enterprise scale initiatives
  • You’ll be able to elucidate the benefits and drawbacks of particular approaches, considering the skillset of your team and the needs and direction of the organisation
