General Technician Mechanical

This is your opportunity to be part of our maintenance team who conduct and manage maintenance at our Te Rapa and Whirinaki sites based at Te Rapa. You will thrive as you are exposed to our mechanical plant, heavy rotating equipment and your focus within the team will be maintenance for mechanical rotating plant and equipment. Within this role you will ensure a safe workplace and maintaining reliability maintenance standards.

Teamwork is important at Contact so being a team player is vital and building strong relationships will help ensure your success in this role. Your ability to see the bigger picture will also enable you to be effective in this role.

You will need to have experience in maintaining mechanical plant, heavy rotating equipment, coordinating and supervising external resources, then we will train you in the specifics of the Te Rapa / Whirinaki plant.

Your willingness to learn, commitment to health & safety, and excellent communication skills are essential. Please note that travel may be required for this role to assist other Contact sites with outages and maintenance.
