The opportunity
We are looking to hire a number of talented programmers, engineers and scientists to our team, which assists New Zealand’s innovation community to access the R&D tax incentive. Your STEM background, passion for technology and innovation plus your developing business acumen will deliver value to EY’s clients.

Your key responsibilities

As part of a flexible national team, you will:

  • Advise and support our clients to access the Government’s R&D tax incentive and other innovation/growth grants.
  • Develop relationships with the country’s most innovative companies
  • Understand client’s development objectives and drivers
  • Analyse complex project information to assess eligibility for the R&D tax incentive and other government grants.

  • Genuine interest in innovation and technology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use problem solving strategies to interpret complex and detailed information
  • Ability to build relationships and articulate information to a range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility in thinking and action

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications in science, technology, engineering or maths
  • Experience in a technical industry role (up to 3 years)
  • Drive to provide exceptional service to clients
