Our Collingwood Street site in Eltham is the largest consumer and foodservice cheese manufacturing plant in Australasia, producing primarily blocked, sliced and grated cheese. Its 550 staff create enough cheese slices to wrap around the earth three times.

The Opportunity

This is a complex Reliability Engineer role where you will support the wider business units on site with your proven Reliability Centred Maintenance expertise.

The purpose of the role is to provide strategic advice to assist the planning and management and repairs of the processing plant and site services. The reliability engineer applies modern maintenance practices to ensure major assets are optimised and deliver reliable, efficient and safe manufacture of high quality dairy products.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the smooth running of our Collingwood Street site ensuring the best long term solutions are put in place to meet business requirements.


What you will bring and develop

There’s plenty of variety here – you’ll be keeping across asset management and support equipment strategies as well as providing accurate and reliable data analysis whilst identifying and organising both reactive and proactive reliability work.

Success factors include:

  • Proven hands on reliability centered maintenance experience preferably from a dairy environment.
  • The ability to communicate, influence and solve problems providing documentation and training around solutions
  • Strong planning and organisational skills including an understanding of root cause analysis
  • An ethos of continuous improvement and ability to train and mentor others.
  • Working knowledge of SAP
