As part of a dynamic and focussed nutrition team, based at the Fonterra Research and Development Centre in Palmerston North, this role is an opportunity to showcase your knowledge and expertise in the field of human nutrition, particularly applied to clinical trial management and project leadership.

Success enablers for this role include –

  • Proven experience and knowledge of human nutrition clinical trials and project management
  • Experience in new product development and demonstrating thought leadership in nutrition science

  • Proactive stakeholder management with strong influencing and communication skills to a variety of audiences

Experience in the dairy industry or pharmaceutical clinical research are highly advantageous in this role and a Scientific Tertiary qualification, preferably in human nutrition, is also highly regarded. Duties

What you will bring and develop

Your previous experience of proactive risk identification and mitigation activity will give you a sound understanding of the needs of this role, providing sound science to communicate with regulators and customers, and support business led projects with in-depth scientific expertise.

Having worked as a Chemist or Toxicologist within a regulatory or commercial environment, you have an established track record of applying both depth and breadth of chemical expertise. You are an effective communicator with solid innovation and problem-solving skills, you enjoy building relationships with key stakeholders and working within cross-functional teams.

You will also have:

  • Proven toxicological or chemical science experience in a commercial food, clinical, pharmaceutical, or regulatory environment
  • A Masters or PhD degree in toxicology, chemistry, or related discipline
  • Previous experience of bringing science to support practical solutions
  • Understanding of risk-based thinking and tools
  • The ability to develop robust scientific understanding and evaluate situations to provide sound
  • Excellent communication skills and a true team ethos to work.
