Holmes is very open to flexible and part-time working. If you’re looking to fit work around your life, or you’d just like to explore the possibility of a flexible or part time working arrangement, we’d love to hear from you.
Working on projects set in New Zealand’s stunning landscape, you’ll be part of a close-knit team delivering a diverse and challenging civil engineering portfolio. Our work includes access roads, sumps and slot drains, swales and rain gardens, detention ponds, and attenuation devices, setting levels to make sure water falls in the right direction. We’re also experts in pavement design, creating robust platforms that stand the test of time. We work on plenty of complex, large-scale developments, with plenty of opportunity to bring new ideas, innovation and thinking to the table. In civil engineering, our success is based around commitment and attention to detail that’s made Holmes Consulting at the forefront of engineering quality for more than 60 years.
To be considered for this role, you’ll have experience across a wide variety of civil design aspects, including three-water infrastructure, geometric roading and pavement design. Your strong technical skills and approach will epitomise the commitment to design, technical quality and innovation that defines Holmes Consulting. Our engineers work closely with our clients and other partners, so you’ll have excellent communication skills, be creative, and solutions focused. You'll be working with some of New Zealand's leading engineers - people who continue to lead innovation and advancement in our country and beyond. You’ll get the benefit of their knowledge, learning alongside the best. We’re active members of the wider engineering community, attending and presenting at national and global engineering conferences, as well as contributing to technical industry committees.
Hard work's a big part of what's got us where we are today, but it's not the final word. At Holmes Consulting, we have a vibrant, fun culture. If sport is your thing, you can join our touch, indoor netball, or football teams. Bootcamps, ski and cycle trips are also on the menu if you want to get involved, and we’ve got a range of social functions throughout the year if they take your fancy. We’re a friendly, relaxed team that loves getting stuck into great projects, with plenty of fun and good times along the way.
If you’re ready for a challenge and keen to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
