About The Role

This is an opportunity for a proactive and results-driven individual to take on a pivotal role within ANZ’s goMoney team. This role is involves people and delivery leadership. Suitable candidates will be those with a naturally collaborative leadership style who lead with empathy, and foster an environment of empowerment. You may be a technology practitioner ready to take on a leadership role or come from a background where you are adept at navigating process and policy and have strong relationship skills, and existing internal networks.

With up to 25 direct reports and managing technology delivery, this role will suit someone who thrives on variety, has a passion for mobile technology and has a strong leadership and delivery focus. You will have support on hand from within the team, and wider technology team for your initial transition into this role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the end to end delivery, from idea through to delivery of small to large sized initiatives and/or key pieces of work;
  • Through establishing trust, you will empower, lead, and develop the technical team to deliver stable, cost effective, business aligned solutions;
  • Work collaboratively and both build and strengthen relationships with, key ‘business owners’ and stakeholders to deliver the best outcome for the customer;
  • Operate across multiple teams and Tribes to ensure barriers to the team’s delivery are removed and to ensure pieces of work are delivered well;
  • Work with the team to identify and manage the risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the delivery;
  • Work to create clarity on the technical outcomes and work with a group of technology experts who you can trust to deliver what they commit to;
  • Ensure the team has a continued model in place for continuous improvement.

About You

  • A proven track record of managing multiple priorities to illustrate your ability to take on quality, progress and reporting responsibilities across multiple deliveries and stakeholders;
  • Excellent organisational and analytical abilities with the ability to work, deliver and lead in an agile environment;
  • Well-developed relationship building skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders;
  • A natural planner with the ability to manage multiple moving parts;
  • Committed to addressing the barriers to the team’s success, clearly communicating their work to all stakeholders and ensuring the big picture stays in focus while delving into the details on specific issues;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and influence others by building trust-based relationships;
  • A positive leader who inspires a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing;
  • Proven ability to quickly adapt and respond positively to change along with the drive to proactively seek out opportunities for improvement in all aspects of the team;
  • The ability to delegate work, thereby empowering team members to make decisions and take accountability.
