Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary

Working within an enthusiastic and driven Structures Team, you will support a range of building-related projects for a broad range of clients on local, regional and national projects. You will primarily deliver projects in the Auckland region however there is the opportunity to support our offices nationwide and internationally.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle - from preparing proposals and presenting to clients, through to managing resources and budgets to ensure timely project delivery. You will collaborate with teams across our business lines and technical disciplines and provide support to our junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements

You will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in structural engineering

  • Chartered status is highly desirable

  • Excellent knowledge and competency in structural building specification and design

  • Demonstrated skills in managing projects (or components of) and budgets to meet time and resource requirements

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication

  • Solid experience with NZ codes, including seismic design and assessment – this is essential

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in structural engineering
