About the role

As a Transdev Customer Communications Officer you will provide first class communications to Auckland rail passengers.

The role involves monitoring train services using various IT systems and communicating service information to customers by means of the Public Address System, Passenger Information Displays and other communication tools in a busy control room environment.

The main focus of the role will be optimise customer satisfaction. It is imperative that you can work as an individual completing your tasks as well as supporting the larger team.   

This roster covers a 24/7 period, so hours and shifts varies.

We provide training for this role, and this will last for approximately 6 weeks.

You will have

  • Excellent customer service and organisational skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Confidence, flexibility, cultural awareness, and have a pro-active, team-focused attitude
  • Good computer skills and Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Full, clean current NZ driving licence
  • Public speaking ability, including ability to accurately learn and read from scripts
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to operate computer based surveillance equipment and passenger information display terminals.
