Duty Manager Service Delivery

We have a rare opportunity for a Duty Manager - Service Delivery. Reporting to the newly created Performance Manager, the role of Duty Manager - Service Delivery is to manage the daily operations of the Wellington Metro Rail Network.

The role

 

The role of the Duty Manager - Service Delivery is to lead the Operations Service Coordination Centre (SCC) and Yard Operations Team whilst supporting the Performance Manager in the delivery of on time and reliable train performance.

 

This is an integral role to the running of Wellington Metro Rail. Based in our service coordination centre (SCC), this team has the added excitement of changing requirements at short notice. No day is ever the same, high volumes, big expectations and increasing complexity means this role has to be filled by someone with a high degree of skill and quick responses under pressure.

 

The Duty Manager, Service Delivery will also ensure the provision of a safe, customer focused and efficient passenger train service, in accordance with the Rules and Operating Procedures, Safety Management Systems, Company Policies and Train Plan.

This role is a joint position with a second Duty Manager - Service Delivery. These two roles will work in partnership leading the team over two peak periods of operational delivery. The shifts are on bi-weekly rotation across Monday – Friday.

AM 6:00 - 14:00.

PM 11:00 -19:00.

 

About you

The successful candidate will come from an operational background where they have managed teams, suppliers and customer expectations. You will have significant experience in operations having dealt with multiple parties in order to deliver quick responses to events. Key industry experience could include operational roles in either land, air or sea, a background in supply chain or logistics, call centres, office management or senior retail management.
