The role

As the Operations Centre Leader within the Transdev Operations Centre, you will support an Operations Team and support them in their professional development within a “Just Culture”. You will ensure that the TOC team delivers a high performing passenger rail service for the people of Auckland.

With your sound approach, you will provide strategic guidance within the Operations Centre with respect to how disruptions and operating incidents are managed, you will ensure that all decisions and implemented plans conform to the guidelines and processes as outlined, to meet the agreed customer service and operational contingency plans between Transdev Auckland and Auckland Transport.

With your background in Project Management, you will work to continuously improve TOC systems and procedures provided by Transdev Auckland and other Auckland Rail participant organisations. You will work with the Control Communications Manager and the Business Intelligence Analyst to optimize the delivery of Auckland’s passenger rail service, and provide the best customer experience possible.

You will bring your analytical skills and experience to participate in continuous improvement of service delivery in conjunction with the Performance Manager and Planned/Unplanned Disruption Manager through the analysis of events and process development.

What you bring         

  • Experienced in logistics and planning
  • Ability to conduct employment processes within the requirements of employment legislation and the Collective Employment Agreement
  • Preferred demonstrated transport experience, including the supervision of operating personnel or a Service Centre
  • Proven skills to manage projects from design through to implementation
  • Clear and confident interpersonal communication skills
