Relief Platform Supervisor


About the Role

Platform Supervisors are required to deliver high quality train performance. Through working closely with the Transdev Operations Centre and Customer Services teams they ensure the train to platform interface is performing at stations across the network deemed to require platform management. 

About You

  • Demonstrated ability as a Supervisor to coordinate and persuade diverse teams to alter their work plans to efficiently implement contingency plans and changes to the daily train plan.
  • Knowledge of all safe working procedures relevant to the safe operation of trains within the TDAK network.
  • Previous Dispatch, Train Manager or Control Room experience (Essential)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the layout of the TDAK network, train stabling facilities, train operating procedures and Safe working systems.
  • Hold and maintain a full motor vehicle Driver’s Licence.
  • Hold and maintain Individual Train Detection (ITD) qualification.
  • Hold and maintain Rail Incident Controller (RIC) qualification (Preferred).
  • Hold and maintain the Rail Medical Category 2 standard.
  • Developed computer and written skills, including the preparation and presentation of reports and procedures.
  • Frontline Customer Services skills to interact and provide information to customers, especially as a result of disruptions

This is a full-time role based at Britomart/Newmarket and is covered by the collective agreement. This role reports to the Platform Team Leader and would suit someone who is calm under pressure during heightened periods of train operations, in addition to a demonstrated ability to understand and interpret Contingency Plans during disruptions.
