Tutor Train Managers

What the role involves:

In addition to your current role as a Train Manager, the Tutor Train Manager will provide coaching and on-the-job training to Trainee Train Managers. It may also involve attending Tutor Train Manager meetings and being available for any new training initiatives that may arise.

Other duties and responsibilities may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.

What we're looking for:

  • Currently employed as a full-time Train Manager demonstrating a high level of operating knowledge, customer service experience and ability to receive and address customer feedback
  • Understanding the importance of exemplary behaviour and creating a constructive and pro-active learning environment
  • Having a positive attitude towards the Company and its objectives regarding performance, reliability, security and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to give instructions clearly to trainees and ensure instructions are followed
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of personality types, understand cultural backgrounds and identify individual learning styles
  • Excellent written communication skills when completing Trainee Logs and relevant reports
  • Self–motivated and able to schedule learning tasks from the Trainee Log over the appropriate training period
  • Willingness and understanding of how to attune the pace of the learning to suit the trainee
  • High awareness of the importance of rail safety rules, regulations and policies and the ability to communicate this to trainees
  • Willingness to provide advice and support to new Tutor Train Managers as required
