About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR practitioner to join our team as the HR Projects Manager. In this busy and diverse role, you'll take the lead on key projects which impact our whole organisation, from the research and design stage through to implementation and measurement.

You'll work to ensure Unitec has the capability, culture and structure required to meet current and future needs. Part of this role involves stepping up and assisting the HR generalist team when necessary.

About you

In addition to your HR background and proven project management skills, you'll also demonstrate:

  • Leadership behaviours which empower others
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
  • Active engagement in building diverse, inclusive and equitable work places
  • An analytical aptitude and ability to determine key trends in metrics
  • Experience managing and facilitating organisational change processes
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or a related discipline
