About the role

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of effective maintenance investment associated with Vector’s electricity networks, including the Penrose Tunnel and Vegetation management plan. Deliver SAIDI and SAIFI strategies as well as managing the asset condition pool.  Key to this role is the monitoring of the performance of the network, provide analysis of data and targeted network performance, development of maintenance strategies and compilation of associated reporting and engineering standards.  Understanding the changing expectations of Vector’s customers and needs is a key strategic requirement for this role as Vector transforms to a customer-focused business, understanding what our customer’s value and manage the strategies for our electrical assets accordingly.

What we are looking for

Absolutely pivotal to the success of your application will be the solid working knowledge you have of the Electricity Distribution Network, degree or no degree - this is an absolute must!  Our successful candidate will know and can apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialisation.  You'll demonstrate the ability to interpret and identify trends with excel based data and competent in systems such as SAP. A foundation of ability to have a lead role in complex projects / work with appropriate mentoring and supervision, will be benficial - we love to provide growth opportunities here at Vector!  An understanding of the evaluation, originality or ability to develop innovative solutions is required, as the assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ability to develop innovative solutions. You'll have a latitude for unreviewed action or decision, along with sound sommercial acumen & financial understanding.  This organisation will put into play your influencing / communicating skills... so get applying today!  We are open to providing opportunites for people with an inquisitive nature and a passion for this industry.
