Asset Management Specialist

About the role
Work alongside experienced and passionate engineering professionals to further develop our electricity and gas network asset management framework. The role is will assist to develop, maintain and review asset management processes and documentation in-line with ISO 55000.

As New Zealand’s largest distribution network, Vector is regarded as a leader in asset management and data and analytics are at the heart of what we do.  Working closely with the Assurance team, use valuable analysis and insights to provide technical input to drive initiatives and guidance on the continual effectiveness of the Asset Management System. Contribute to industry working groups and initiatives and keep up to date with worldwide asset management practices, with a view to ensuring Vector has a world class approach.

Who we are looking for
We are open to the level of experience you may have. You will, however, need to have a Degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field, along with some of the following skills and experience:

  • Several years professional experience
  • Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of asset management
  • Commercial acumen
  • The ability to think laterally and consider new and innovative solutions

Working across different and varied business units, your communication and influencing skills need to be strong, with the ability to convey information in a clear and articulate way.
