Vector is one of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure network companies, and we own and manage a unique portfolio of energy and fibre optic infrastructure networks in New Zealand, including our Kapuni Gas Treatment Plant in South Taranaki.

About the Role

Based at our Kapuni Gas Treatment Plant, this role offers variety, challenge and career development.  You will gain experience of our CO2 removal, LPG production and beverage grade liquid CO2 production processes, as well as our water treatment plant and steam and electricity generation from the on-site Cogen plant.  As Process Engineer, you will support the Lead Process Engineer in activities that maintain and improve plant performance and resolve plant issues.  This includes design, safety and technical support review processes.  In supporting the production and maintenance teams’ daily operations you will contribute directly to our Plant’s operational and commercial success.

Your strong communication skills, energetic, can-do attitude will hold you in good stead, as will your ability to work well as part of a team and willingness to learn and develop in a fast paced, challenging industry – composure under pressure is essential.  Problem solving will be one of your strengths.

A Bachelor of Engineering is essential and you will have at least three years’ experience in the petrochemical or other related industry.
