Senior Tax Consultant

Who we are
We’re on a mission to reinvent the way homes, cities and communities are powered.

Our people are creating a new energy future where power will flow through brilliant infrastructure, smart technology and clever systems. It’s all about providing greater access to more affordable, reliable, sustainable energy.

Electric vehicles, renewables and next-gen batteries will all play a part. But it’s more than that; to truly shift the dial on decarbonisation we need the best and the brightest to capitalise on the convergence of technology, sustainability and customer focus that forms the basis of our strategy.

We’ve done great things already, join us and help us do even more.

About the role

As part of our Auckland based Finance team, you will be responsible for providing tax support to the wider Vector Group. You’ll provide tax advice in relation to material transactions, assist in meeting our income tax compliance obligations across our NZ and Australia portfolio. In additional, you will support the business with financial tax reporting, foreign tax obligations, building and maintaining relationships with key senior stakeholders.  You’ll also be tasked to manage tax risk review and ad hoc queries with tax related-projects e.g. – mergers and acquisitions

Who we are looking for

Someone who is passionate about partnering and working with the business closely and knows what to do and makes it happen. Your previous working knowledge of New Zealand and Australian Tax environment and understanding of foreign tax knowledge will be beneficial. You’re an excel whizz and know your way around pivot table, vlook and more.  Your ability to communicate across various senior stakeholders is top notch.

What we can offer you

You’ll be joining an organisation with a values-driven culture that embraces and rewards a commitment to delivering results, a positive impact for our customers, fresh thinking and adaptability to change.  The energy sector is genuinely interesting and constantly changing and the diverse nature of Vector’s business will keep you on your toes.

We take pride in our vision and values, working together to create a new energy future. Vector engages a workforce made up of individuals with diverse skills, values, backgrounds and experiences. Vector respects and values people who are different from each other, including gender, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, race and religion.

We welcome applications from all individuals.
