Role purpose:

Planning and designing effective radio network solutions, capacity and capabilities

which enable’s Vodafone to deliver to our customers’ needs and to ensure mobile network

leadership. Contribute to the RAN Roadmap & budgets and supporting the Business BU to secure customer bids, and execute on them.

 
What will I be doing?
 
Customer and Leadership

  • Ensure Vodafone’s Radio Access Network meets the capability, capacity and performance criteria and culture of putting the customer first is adhered to. Meet or exceed all in scope RAN platforms customer KPI’s and SLA’s.
  • Deliver accurate, cost effective designs which are aligned to architectural, planning and operational requirements, considering E2E impacts for the following environments: Mobile access network, Special events and zero coverage solutions, Government RBI initiative, Current and future wireless technologies – including IoT, 5G, Spectrum assets and National Roaming.
  • Perform capacity and lifecycle management for domain platforms.

Operations

  • Drive operational excellence across RAN operations and continuous improvement across the business.
  • Deliver the best mobile network through effective e2e performance and optimisation.

On time delivery of design of Vodafone Radio Access Networks

  • Ensure all products and services have been passed the full set of acceptance tests before delivery.
  • Ensure all products and services are delivered to meet the agreed standards to deliver a level of quality required for Vodafone.
  • Cost effective technical solutions delivered & documented on time and to budget.

What will I bring?

 

Demonstrable expertise in Radio Access Network domain;

  • RF propagation and capacity
  • BTS Design and dimensioning
  • Nokia BTS products
  • RAN features and parameterization

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to engage and contribute within a high performing and diverse team.
