Segment Lead (New Kiwis)

The Segment Lead for New Kiwis is responsible for understanding our migrant and emerging New Zealand customer segments, the changing market, competitor SWOT and internal capability as part of developing and executing highly differentiated and ownable propositions which will deliver value to our customers and drive overall business success.  The New Kiwi Segment Lead is also accountable for driving quality acquisition across this segment by identifying key prospect audiences and targeting with relevant offers, promotions or occasions.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

 

Proposition Development and Execution

  • Develop a deep understanding of New Kiwi customer needs and insights and utilise these in developing customer value propositions
  • Use commercial acuity to develop propositions that will utilise commercial levers and deliver results

Drive Quality Acquisition

  • Work across the Buy Squads to design and deliver relevant offers, promotions and occasions to drive incremental acquisition, whilst recognising strategic priority of existing customers first
  • Actively track acquisition progress, making timely decisions on when to progress, perish or pivot to achieve committed outcomes

Vodafone Agile

  • Role-model the behaviours of an agile and growth mindset and be a champion of the Vodafone Agile Principles.  

Core competencies, knowledge and experience


  • Knowledge and experience of strategy and proposition design
  • Knowledge and experience of mining customer and external data to generate real, relevant and relatable insights
  • Commercial acumen and ability to determine how to best use commercial levers to drive results
  • Ability to use data and insights to influence others to deliver outcomes.
  • Role modelling growth mindset.
  • Some understanding of migrant languages and cultures would be highly advantageous.
