SME Tribe – Data Analyst

Are you an expert across the Business Intelligence (reporting & analysis) value-stream? As a Senior Reporting Analyst you role is instrumental in helping us embed a strong reporting and analysis foundation and shift focus from supporting core Marketing and Customer Information reporting requirements, to providing more advanced analysis practises for enabling targeted/personalised digital marketing and base management.


Bring your ability to work cross-functionally within agile environment and evaluate and approve business requirements for data analysis, business insights and reporting. You will also use business intelligence related tools to develop solutions to meet business needs across Business Unit segments.


What will you be doing?

  • Identify and evaluate inefficiencies in information and system gaps that are critical in decision making






     
  • Operate within the SME Tribe, focusing on the projects and backlog agreed by the Squad and overseen by the Squad Product Owner






     
  • Deliver campaign contact lists and reporting on the performance of campaign activities






     
  • Provide analysis on customer base trends and customer journey activity, driving actionable-insights and lifecycle value generation






     
  • Identify, evaluate and integrate new data sets into information delivery processes to enable intelligent action and support digital marketing






     
  • Investigate, summarise and communicate inefficiencies in information processing and support systems that are critical in decision making






     
  • Identify and deliver campaign targeting lists and reporting on the performance of campaign activities






     
  • Take responsibility for your safety, and the safety of others including our contractors and supply chain partners, within Vodafone






     



What we want from you?

  • Extensive experience in reporting and analysis, reporting development and using business analysis techniques to drive improvement






     
  • In depth knowledge of working within marketing & sales domain desirable but not essential






     
  • Familiarity of BI systems used in data acquisition, transformation and storage – with a clear understanding of database design and data-modelling processes and practical experience of working with various database structures






     
  • Experience with data discovery and acquisition of disparate source data in situations where not all corporate data has been centrally consolidated






     
  • Proven experience with working collaboratively with Corporate BI and Operations Support teams (DBAs, Application Support, etc)






     
  • Experience working within or implementing enterprise-scale reporting and dashboards using dedicated reporting and data processing tools, with preference for OBIEE, Qlik Sense and Alteryx






     
  • Strong relationship and communication (written and verbal) skills






     
  • Familiar with agile practice and ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities






     
  • Experience using standardisation practises and producing quality documentation






     



Due to the nature of this role you are required to complete a Government security clearance and therefore must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, and must not have lived outside of New Zealand, UK, Australia or Canada for more than 3 months within the last 5 years.
