  • Work on a wide variety of topics with many different stakeholders; with a mixture of project work and longer-term initiatives

About the role:

  • Preventing and engaging in early detection of financial crime to support WNZL's Risk Strategy
  • Preventing and minimising any financial loss to Westpac
  • Meeting compliance requirements and regulatory obligations while ensuring the best customer outcome is achieved.
  • The financial crime risks that this role will cover are defined as follows:(Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), Sanctions, Tax evasion, Fraud, Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC))

What you will bring to the role?

  • Problem solving and reasoning skills that allow for the correct subjective assessment based on limited financial information
  • Customer service and retention focused 
  • Analytical skills to determine items of importance / significance from system reports
  • Basic Business Product Knowledge
  • Interest  in the Financial Services Industry
