About the role:

Support Westpac's strategies and initiatives, and is in the pivotal position of having the ability to analyse bank wide data to provide insights and recommended actions across the product portfolios to achieve these outcomes.

 

This will be done through:

  • Being a key contributor to the Customer Value Management squad within the Consumer Segments Tribe.
  • Using your analytics skills and experience, you will design, develop and implement solutions to provide insights to Westpac’s business customers and the customer facing staff that support the customers.
  • Engage with business customers / customer facing staff to understand how we can provide value to our customer’s businesses through insights.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry including working knowledge of key banking metrics and measurements.
  • Experience working with complex reporting and analytics systems.
  • 5+ years’ experience in SQL / SAS.
  • Experience with Power BI or other visualisation software.
  • Working knowledge of Python / R and experience using a Spark based fast data platform would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL would be advantageous.
  • Technical programming skills and coding ability to manipulate data, create reporting and solve business problems.
  • Experience in providing quality reporting to aid and enhance decision making in a large and complex organisation.
  • Ability to manage and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Solid verbal and written presentation skills.
