Manager, Cyber and Technology Risk

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Risk Partner for Data, Cyber and Technology Risk, this role supports Technology to make fast, strategic and risk-based decisions

The role will provide analyses, insights and oversight on Technology’s delivery of relevant risk management frameworks.

The role blends a mixture of advice, challenge and execution across technology and information security to enable Technology to carry out effective risk practices.

 

This will be done through:

  • Providing specialist, pragmatic, outcome-focussed risk advice and data-driven insights that supports decisions, optimise risk reward balance and assist the Technology business unit to achieve its objectives, within risk appetite.
  • Guiding Technology and partners across 3LoD to embed and mature operational risk practices.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Information Security trends and threats and monitor changes to the Technology Security profile to ensure that WNZL operates within the established risk appetite and manage key stakeholder relationships and communications on these, including any impacts of changes to legislation and adopting security technologies to provide visibility and assurance to stakeholders about the information security state of WNZL.

 

What you will bring to the role?

  • Tertiary education or longstanding Industry Certification in Information Security, Information Technology, Risk Management or equivalent discipline.
  • Extensive experience in operational technology and/or information security; and/or risk advisory experience in the same discipline.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in operational risk and compliance (either in a 1st or 2LoD Risk capacity)
  • Strong organisational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, liaising with all levels of the Business
  • Demonstrable experience of directly influencing senior stakeholders, strategic thinking and prioritisation
  • Understanding of international security and risk-related standards or frameworks, including SABSA, ISO-27000 series, ISO 31000, PCI DSS, APRA, NIST
