Product Manager - Business Everyday Banking

We have recently embarked on a new phase in the way we work which has been one of the most significant changes in our organisations’ history – restructuring the ‘delivery’ part of our business into cross functional teams that have adopted working methodology drawn down from ‘Agile’ principles. We call it the Westpac Way of Working.

 

About the role

 

This Product Manager – Business Everyday Banking role requires someone who is motivated and experienced in banking, and who has a passion for developing and implementing deposit product strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a team of high-skilled and motivated product managers known for achieving great results and having fun along the way.   

 

You will apply your business banking knowledge to deliver end-to-end customer solutions, bringing new products to market and managing processes of existing business deposit and working capital products across the bank.  You will also lead, influence and entice key stake holders to drive and promote market leading customer value propositions based on sound product and customer insights and competitive data. 

 

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in financial services product management, ideally from a banking environment
  • Proven ability to analyse, model and evaluate data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • The ability to develop, initiate and implement plans, with strong project management skills
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver compelling business propositions to senior leaders within the bank
  • Excellent oral and written communicator
  • The ability to make sound judgements in the face of ambiguity/uncertainty
