We provide excellent benefits

Chapman Tripp

In addition to the financial rewards you would expect from a leading law firm, we offer a number of great staff benefits:

Wellness programme and subsidy– we think it’s important to promote wellness both in and out of the office and we encourage healthy lifestyle choices. We offer all permanent employees a generous subsidy for wellness related activities, which can be used towards activities such as gym and sports clubs membership fees.

Wellness calendar – we arrange and subsidise a number of wellness events, including the Great Lake Relay, Round the Bays, Round the Vines, the Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland marathons, on-site yoga classes, touch rugby tournament, sports night and the Santa Run.

Non-financial rewards – we like to motivate, reward and engage our talented staff on a regular basis. Non-financial rewards provide our people with immediate recognition for outstanding performance, on top of their annual salary and benefits package. Anything from restaurant or travel vouchers, additional paid leave or mystery weekends away.

Health insurance subsidy and flu vaccinations – eligible employees can join our health insurance group scheme, which includes firm subsidized medical insurance. The firm also offers free flu vaccinations and arranges for these at the office.

Long service awards – we recognise and reward longevity of service for both our legal and non-legal staff.

Social events – the firm has a full social calendar including regular Friday night drinks, floor drinks, celebration morning teas, cross-firm lunches, mid-year and annual full firm celebrations, team retreats, values centered social events (like our quiz and sports nights) and individual team celebrations throughout the year.

We encourage our people to get involved in these events if they want to whilst recognising that people have a life and interests outside of work. We don’t believe in the motto “work hard, play hard”. We like to think we work well and go home when the job’s done.
