Laura Byrne
Chief Operating Officer
Laura is an experienced lawyer with a proven track record of providing strategic advice on legal and governance matters to boards and senior management. She started her career as a banking and finance lawyer with law firms Russell McVeagh and Mayne Wetherell, before moving in-house to broaden her experience.
Laura joined Heartland in October 2013 as the Group General Counsel, coming from the Telecom Group where she was Senior Legal Counsel and Company Secretary.
In November 2015, she moved to the role of Chief Strategy Adviser, and has since been appointed as Chief Operating Officer responsible for the planning and enablement of Heartland's strategic priorities
