What do you do?

Part of my job is to provide captions/subtitles and translation services for Te Karere and Waka Huia. The other part is producing online content for Te Karere's website and social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

What does a typical day look like for you?

Translating and editing scripts, sending out live captions during the show, updating our website, uploading YouTube clips, posting on Facebook, tweeting on Twitter and report writing!

What did you do before TVNZ?

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Māori Studies, working on the side for a Māori consultancy business and an event managing company.

Why TVNZ?

No day is the same.. Just walking through the building has its perks Good Morning and Breakfast often put some of the guest acts in the atrium, or you see the odd famous person here and there. Special seminars or guest speakers get brought in to talk to staff. Filming takes place anywhere and everywhere.
