Account Executive


We currently have a Part Time opportunity available within our Health & Benefits team based in Auckland, our Account Executives contribute to the management and growth of a portfolio of personal/retail life insurance clients, ensuring that their risk management and insurance broking needs are identified and met.

The Role:

The role will provide assistance to the team of personal/retail Life Advisers as and when required. Key areas of accountability will include all aspects of client servicing, including preparation of client new business and renewal documentation, assistance with claims management, client database management, and liaison with underwriters.

  • In conjunction with the Life Advisers, ensure that the client’s risk management and insurance broking programmes are administered
  • Preparation of client documentation and ensuring 100% accuracy prior to distribution
  • Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, clients and other key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Maintain comprehensive client data on WTW systems, facilities and databases including the X Plan system. 
  • Monitor insurer renewal correspondence, ensure all renewing clients are contacted and offered annual reviews.
  • Monitor and assist in rectifyiny premium payment issues that would impact on clients’ retention of insurance cover.
  • Support new business development process
  • Work with the offshore GBC support team (Manila) to ensure the preparation and delivery of documentation.
  • Support the Life Advisers in the management of client’s claims by managing calls and enquiries, providing process advice, liaising with insurers, ensuring agreed standards are achieved and timely settlement of claims
  • Ensure documents are prepared in accordance with company service and compliance procedures
  • Support the team to ensure compliance with all specified business management processes




The Requirements:

  • Life Insurance experience and/or qualification desirable
  • Sound oral & written communication skills both on individual and small group basis
  • Excellent report writing and correspondence skills
  • Ability to prioritise work, manage deadlines and work under pressure
  • A team player with ability to demonstrate credibility and gain trust
  • Proficient in all MS Office products
  • Experience of XPlan an advantage
  • Good understanding of internet and intranet applications and usage.
  • A quick learner and the desire to take on additional duties when required.
