Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

The Role

AECOM’s award-winning Cost Management team has a new opportunity for an intermediate level Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager. This is a new position to support our growing team of Cost Managers.

As part of our high performing Cost Management group, you will be responsible for providing quantity surveying services on some of Auckland’s most iconic projects, giving you the opportunity to further develop your career.

As part of this role tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Cost planning and estimating during design phase;
  • Measurement of quantities based on design drawings;
  • Construction phase cost management;
  • Cash flow forecasting;
  • Assisting with feasibility studies, capital cost advice;
  • Life-cycle costing.

This role is ideal for a highly driven professional who is looking to continue to grow their Quantity Surveying skills, working on a range of small, medium and large-scale projects learning from a team of specialist consultants.

Minimum Requirements

About You

  • 3-5 years’ relevant post graduate professional experience;
  • Demonstrated skills in managing project costs and budgets;
  • NZ quantity surveying / cost management experience;
  • Working knowledge of MS Suite;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment;
  • Consulting experience is advantageous;
  • Knowledge of CostX is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
