We are looking for an experienced Senior Scheduler to work with our varied clients throughout New Zealand, while being based in our Dunedin office. This role will suit a proven Scheduler who has an excellent eye for detail and a passion for improving project delivery by installing effective scheduling and project management methodology.

The Role

This role of Senior Scheduler contributes to leading and supporting the schedule management function a complex project office and program. You will be based in Dunedin and responsible for implementing the schedule management guidelines including working with Project Managers and specialist scheduling resources at project level to build project scheduling capability.

A Senior Scheduler in AECOM Construction Services will need confident communication skills to build relationships and rapport while integrating project delivery across broad stakeholder groups. This role will be focussed on managing stakeholders and delivering to key timelines with a passion to deliver on a client’s vision.

As a Senior Scheduler at AECOM Construction Services you will be expected to advise and lead stakeholders, including clients, across a construction project timeline at all project phases. Therefore you will be driven by strong project management values and hold a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of a construction project, ideally with a proven background in Civil Infrastructure scheduling and delivery.

This is an opportunity to be involved in multiple complex projects and use your passion for project management and client engagement to achieve best results on-time and on-budget, with a variety of projects in our portfolio and pipeline.

Minimum Requirements

This opportunity will enable a suitable Senior Scheduler to step in to a thriving AECOM group and work closely with clients in successful delivery and improved efficiency of their major civil infrastructure projects.

This role will require some of the following key attributes and skillsets from a Senior Scheduler;

  • Experienced user of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6

  • Production of Project Control System processes

  • Experienced in monthly reporting and Earned Value Management

  • Previous experience in managing integrated schedules and master schedules

  • Maintaining accurate Risk & Opportunity datasets

  • Strong knowledge of local standards and client project management methodology

  • Experience in successfully leading project teams

  • Producing key project performance data

  • Commercial & Financial awareness is desirable

  • Confident communication skills; verbal, written and reporting writing methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualification in relevant field; Civil Engineering, Construction or similar

  • 10 years professional experience in the construction or civil infrastructure industry, with a mixture of site and office construction management and programming/planning.
