About The Role

In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • As a Developer within the Core Banking System, you will work collaboratively within a high-performing Agile team.
  • You will undertake analysis, and be involved in design and specification of system changes.
  • An integral part of this role will be to code, test and implement enhancements and fixes, and provide operational support.
  • Be involved in the continuous improvements of both the platform (processes and systems) and the team’s ways of working (DevOps/Agile)
  • This is an opportunity and chance to develop and grow your skills in various VisionPLUS subsystems.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • You will be a communicator. You will be spending your day working alongside other developers, testers, BA’s and designers and you need to be able to communicate technical issues and be good at asking hard questions, at the right time.
  • You’re passionate about writing well tested code that follows good software development principles.
  • You will have experience working as a Developer in agile environments, and you’ll be expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement of development processes, tools, strategy, and methodology.

Essential Skills & Experience
 

  • Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you have VisionPLUS experience, including JCL, Endevor, Cobol, CICS.
  • Significant applications development SDLC experience, especially with large and complex systems
  • You are a team player, and enjoy working in a collaborative team style.
  • It is important that you have the ability to understand, manage and resolve external system issues and impact to systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite of programs & utilities
  • Understanding and willingness to participate in 24 x 7 Systems Support
  • Design and programming experience in VisionPLUS.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across and collaborate with technology tribes and other stakeholders.
  • A customer focused, results driven mindset.
